Can I use OKEight for free

Yes. Free is $0 and includes 8,000 words written or transcribed each week, one connected channel, and standard access during busy periods. You can download the app and start on Free without entering payment details on this page.

What counts toward the 8,000-word allowance

Only words OKEight successfully writes or transcribes count. Personalization, learning in the background, failed requests, retries, and silence do not use the allowance. The app shows your current weekly usage and the date it resets under Plan and usage.

What happens after I use all 8,000 words

New managed writing and transcription pause until the weekly allowance resets. Your existing work stays safe and readable. You can wait for the reset, upgrade to Pro, or use your own model key for writing.

What does unlimited Pro usage mean

Pro removes the weekly word allowance for writing and transcription during normal personal use. It does not permit automated mass sending, account sharing, quota bypassing, or other abusive use, and short rate limits can still protect service availability. Those boundaries are described in the Terms of Service.

What is the difference between monthly and yearly Pro

The features are the same. Monthly Pro is $9.99 each month. Yearly Pro is $95 paid once a year, which works out to $7.92 a month and saves 20%. Any temporary introductory offer is shown separately before checkout and does not change the regular renewal price.

What does one connected channel mean

A connected channel lets OKEight sync the history you authorize for voice, relationship context, and follow-ups. Free includes one connection; Pro includes all supported channels. Current-page drafting can still work beside readable text fields without connecting that app.

Does using my own model key change my allowance

Words OKEight writes with your own model key do not count toward the weekly managed allowance because the writing request goes directly to your provider. Cloud transcription still counts. You also pay any model-provider charges attached to your own key.

How do I cancel Pro, and what happens next

Open Plan and usage in OKEight, then choose Manage billing. If you cancel, Pro stays active until the current renewal date and then ends. Fees are non-refundable unless the law or the purchase page says otherwise; see the Terms of Service for the full payment terms.
